dot.Consla & Sarita's Dance Lab: Glimpses

Premiere: February 2017

Two bodies explore the complexities of independence and coexistence. An ongoing search for fine-tuned duality and independent bliss.

The pair were first introduced to each other as artists in the Brazilian Zouk partner dance community, where they became quickly inspired by the idea of working together. Both primarily established Contemporary dance artists, their experiences in BZ provoked a keen interest in developing this form of Latin dance for audiences outside of its usual social dance environment.  Dotty has already successfully established a familiar journey forming her own company working with Salsa (CONSLA) in Hungary and in 2015 Sarita began producing Contemporary Zouk student choreography. In 2016 the duo began when they were selected to represent Union Dance in an ENB programmed event, Big Dance festival with a 6 minute choreography.

This will now be premiered as a full 20 minute piece for London annual performance festival, Resolution.

P@88w0rLd (Solo)

Premiere: May 2016

"I am a woman. When I became a woman? Is it about the looks? Am I a woman because I dress and act like that? And if I lose this, am I still a woman? What makes me a woman? A man? The man? My story? My changed, forgotten password? Do I have one for myself? And if I do, should I dare to enter into the world?

We use passwords every day. We all have faced the moment of the « forgotten password ». A password is a « stop » we create in a system, where from we might often lock ourselves out. But what a « password » is use for ? What security means in fact? Where exactly are we in security ?Are we good to be in security ? Do we have passwords within our body, on our skin ? Whom do we give « access », who might know our passworlds ?
We live in a world of passwords.
